This is my honours animation for my final year of Computer Arts at the University of Abertay, Dundee. Took about 6 months in total, in amongst my dissertation. Its been a pretty steep learning curve. First time ive animated a quadruped, done lip syncing or used blend shapes, I must love making things difficult for myself. There's a few imperfections im not entirely happy with but the deadline was fast approaching. The car bit might not make a whole lot of sense if you havent seen the advert it's a parody of, its an advert for the toyota yaris, not sure if it only played in the UK though. Anyhoo... hope you enjoy it!

NB - I originally had Bad Touch by the Bloodhound Gang playing over the credits which was funnier but unfortunately I had to remove it due to copyright. The song Ive used instead is "disco4" by Kevin Macleod of Incompetech.com

@03:12was the cracked dry ground mapped from a drawing? I ask because I have an animation I'm trying to finish and am not sure whether to add 3D background or just lay a hand drawn sequence. I'm using Maya as well.

@03:12the ground texture i used was a photo, then i just grayscaled it in photoshop and tweaked that a bit for the bump map. good luck with your animation!
